The traditional Florentine New Year always has been celebrated on March 25, the feast day of the Annunciation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To add to these festivities, last year, the Italian government announced the establishment of a National Dante Day or\u00a0<em>\u201cDanteDi\u201d\u00a0<\/em>to be observed annually on March 25<em>.\u00a0<\/em>Dante Alighieri is considered the father of modern literature and perhaps the greatest poet of all time. He was born in Florence (Tuscany) in 1265 and died in Ravenna (Emilia Romagna) in 1321, making this year the 700th\u00a0anniversary of his death.\u00a0 This week\u2019s menu takes inspiration from both regions that were home to Dante.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button aligncenter is-style-outline is-style-outline--1\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.iricchifoodclub.com\/blogs\/news\/week-106-menu-march-29-april-3-2022\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SEE MENU<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Happy Florentine New Year, Dante \u201cBuon Capodanno \/ Happy New Year\u201d could be heard again in the streets of Florence last week.
