Unite with Us to Be Generous to the Needy Locally and Abroad

Now that this historic and brutally combative Election is officially over, many of us are yearning to stop the madness, roll up our sleeves and move forward.  The holidays provide an opportunity to turn our attention to higher altruistic endeavors as we join together to help those less fortunate. In the coming weeks we are planning two events to assist those in need, both locally and internationally.

As the earthquake victims still remain in our hearts and in their tents, as winter is fast approaching and as the earthearthquake-tents-1 continues to tremble in central Italy, we are partnering with local band, Misspent Youth and Hungarian Ambassador (and guest lead guitarist), Andras Simonyi, Tuesday, December 6, 7:30-9:30 pm. Enjoy this rock ‘n’ roll band nominated twice for Best Cover Band at the Maryland Music Awards.  Refreshments, wine and beer included for $165. We will be having a Silent Auction with many great items for you to bid on:  6 Park Hopper tickets to Disney World; 2 club seat hockey tickets Caps vs. Bruins; Illy espresso maker with starter kit; Staycation 2-night stay at the Mayflower Hotel with dinner at i Ricchi; Reston Limo 3-hour evening tour of the monuments for 6 people; Exclusive collection PBS documentaries; $200 gift certificate Edible Arrangements . . . and more coming in every day!  Get tickets now

Large family-like communal tables, long simmering sauces and lots of red wine will transport you back to a simpler time while helping our community’s blind, visually impaired and deaf blind children on Guest Chef for a Night – Cooking for Good, Monday, December 12 at 7 pm. Savor the flavors of chefs Tony Cancelosi’s (CEO, Columbia Lighthouse for the Blind) and Tom Raffa’s (CEO, Raffa, Inc.) culinary skills for a traditional Sunday dinner on Monday evening for $125 (excludes tax and tip).  Buy tickets

As the packages pile up and your calendar fills with holiday events, don’t forget to consider those in need around us. Join us on Giving Tuesday, November 29 as we inform you about 3 of our favorite charities that you can choose to financially support while you are dining with us. We will be featuring Madison House Autism Foundation, My Sister’s Place and Vital Voices.  More info
